“Rotaract” standing for “Rotary in Action” began as a Rotary International youth program in 1968 at Rotary Club of Charlotte North in United States, and has grown into a major organization in all countries where Rotary exists. It is a service, leadership, professional, and community service organization (not a Social Service Club) for young adults aged 18 years and over.

Rotaract focuses on young adults’ development as leaders in their communities and workplaces. Clubs also take part in international service projects, in a global effort to bring peace and international understanding to the world.
